
End of a Phobia
(ANOTHER VERY TRUE FULLY DOCUMENTED STORY !! )
THE FOLLOWING IS ANOTHER MAJOR PARADOX THAT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO PERHAPS UNDERSTAND, NO LESS ACCEPT WITHOUT EXPERIENCING FIRST HAND.
IT IS A MAJOR PART OF THE NEW PARADIGM THAT HAPPENS DURING THE TRANSFORMATION…
The unconscious apparently somehow creates a TRIGGER manifested through our own behaviors to cause the resurfacing of the ( repressed /suppressed feeling, ) EMOTION in order to PROCESS it, to Clear it.
Only after you have experienced the process over and over and over again can you “ see” this.. and accept this process as a reality.( Artwork Called Scream©Copyright by Artist Alon Rand WebSite Gallery )
Case in point.. Back in the early 90’s when I was on my way to the “bottom” a major symptom were panic attacks. An extremely intense Phobia. The “trigger” was the IRS . And my crippled behaviors prevented me from performing as I should making the situation unbearable and unable to make money. And of course I was unable to pay back taxes because of the emotional state I was in.. And so the situation “ Snow Balled”
One day going to a local Library to see if I can pick up an extension form to buy some more time ( mind you I was not even going to an IRS office, I was just going to the local Library ) I panicked so bad I almost fainted..!!
It took me a long time to figure out what to do. Many people of course told me to speak with the IRS and deal with the situation then the phobia would go away…But something did not seem to be right with that LOGICAL approach.
Then one day it came to me after reading John Ruskan’s book EMOTIONAL CLEARING that in fact the IRS was my trigger and I needed TO PROCESS THE FEAR
FIRST… I started right on it and began to feel some changes within..
One of the most fascinating parts of the process is when you "process" , Insights in the form of feeling memories return to you..
I had several flashbacks . THESE FLASHBACKS WERE NOT SUGGESSTED NOR IMPLIED IN ANY WAY THROUGH THERAPY SESSIONS WHATSOEVER THEY CAME UP THROUGH MY
In my family system “FEAR, SHAME AND THE BELT “ WAS how obedience was taught and punishment for maybe spilling a glass of milk. Apparently the Phobia developed as an accumulative effect of the ABUSE .
Anyway… utilizing the PROCESS I processed the FEAR first, before I could objectively deal with my obligations..
Each time I thought about the IRS or went to the Post Office or even seen a Postal Delivery person coming I would get my anxiety attacks, but would ( now ) stay with the feelings and process..
Then one day I got a notice to go in and see them (the IRS ) in person. Then a Flood of fear and anxiety overwhelmed me , BUT I STAYED INSIDE ACCEPTING AND FEELING THAT HURT IN PAIN.. When the pain Maxed Out I was with a friend who I was working with and I just broke down in tears …and allowed the cleansing to heal…
The following day when I met with the IRS it was an incredible meeting. Everything went great and I had more time to work things out… I continued to process what was left of my feelings..
One day I woke up..thought about the situation this time WITHOUT ANY FEAR OR ANXIETY thought about what next to do…then I went on-line looked up the IRS and made a copy of Offer in Compromise and successfully negotiated a settlement MYSELF !
This is an incredible example of the POWER of the Process!
Contrary to what “
If you are able to correct the problem ( trigger) ,the unconsciousness will find a replacement.. whether it be with a domestic situation, work related or whatever the unconscious will prevail.. it’s almost like the computer of an autopilot determined to find it’s destination, even if it gets of course for awhile.
The more that the person ignores “message” the more the cycle will repeat itself . Perhaps the best example would be where we attract our self to a soul mate who brings up feelings that need to be processed. We don’t get the message, end the relationship find someone else, and… the same scenario happens over and over.
THE MIRACLES..
As noted above I had to process the FEELINGS FIRST before I could effectively Deal with the obligations. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO IDENTYFY , ACCEPT THE “ TRIGGER” AS A MAJOR ALLY…
YES A MAJOR ALLY..
In your processing. it is the TRIGGER that is BRINGING THE MESSAGE TO YOU OF WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, TO FEEL.
By all means do not attempt to remove the TRIGGER by any other means except by going through your feelings…
Then Miracle after Miracle
will happen to ...
deal with the "Trigger"
after
the "Trigger"
has completed it's
"mission".
The POINT
Is
Look at your “Trigger” in a different way. The Trigger is bringing to your consciousness a MAJOR emotion that needs attention.
Process the feelings associated with the Trigger and you will then be able to deal with the Trigger
( Circumstance ) in a more Objective manor !
PHASE II SUMMARY
1.) Review the material in this section. Attempt to understand that the emotions that we are feeling today are really from yesterday and are simply trying to complete their cycle. You need to develop the SKILLS needed to Heal the Emotions by accepting them and integrating them through integration. Understanding this alone will not cure the pain but it may help you to view your pain from a different prospective. It is the pain of the "Inner Child" that is trying to heal. Accepting this too may add compassion for your self that will also include RESPECT and eventually UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE of your SELF..
2.)Purchase ( or borrow from your local library) the books that are recommended to educate your self.
3.)Find a Therapist that will help You get in touch with your feelings.
4.)Join a support group or two...
5.)Look into going to an INTENSIVE..
6.)Practice the steps of the Feelings Experience Process..
7.) Take your time and practice on a daily basis the process.

*There was an asterik placed at the beginning of Phase II regarding the Responsible Action to take , to heal and not to pass it on to Children. The other responsible Action as Adults, if you have Adult Children and now you realize that perhaps it's too late, that you accidently passed along alot of trauma to your now adult children, then you need to bring it to their attention what you just learned and suggest to them the same process.
The next Major Area we need to consider is our severely negative Inner Dialog. Our negative Thought Pattern..Get Ready for some more incredible insights..
