SELF HELP RECOVERY COMMUNITY PLEDGE:
By signing the bottom of this pledge I am making a commitment to myself to once and for all to STOP THE ABUSE to myself and to anyone else I love or interact with. To do whatever I can to help myself heal the pain and anguish I have been feeling all my life.
I will respect myself , be kind to myself and accept myself for who I am, knowing that the wounded part of myself needs my love, acceptance, nurturance and time to heal.
I will pay attention to my inner thoughts that are abusive to me and others and not allow my thoughts to abuse me, and I will not ALLOW MYSELF TO act out on anyone ,any negative thoughts that may come up to my consciousness.
I will relentlessly pursue every conceivable means to help myself to accelerate the process of my healing and the freedom from my negative inner thoughts.
I promise to organize my self to effectively utilize my time in order to educate myself on what I need to do to help myself, find a competent therapist to help me through my recovery and I will immediately join a local support group.
I will not blame anyone for what I feel, I will be responsible for what I feel by allowing myself to experience my feelings and heal my wounds through integration.
I promise that I will never under any circumstances ever take my feelings out on any innocent, precious child. I will always be patient with all children, understand their innocence and respect them unconditionally.
